The beauty of Vinyl fencing is that it never fades, needs painting, rots or rusts. It’s strong and durable and is very easy to clean.
Vinyl fencing will withstand extreme cold and hot temperatures, as well as high wind. This combination makes it the perfect fence for a home in Florida.
All of these wonderful qualities make vinyl fencing a very cost effective investment. To keep your investment looking it’s best, we have put together a list of known vinyl fence menaces.
· Lawn Equipment – getting to close with a weed-eater, edger or lawn mower could scratch or scuff your fence. The damage is minimal compared to the damage lawn equipment can do to a wood fence but over time those scratches could add up. Just make sure to give yourself a two or three inch buffer zone between your fence and the lawn mower.
· Projectiles – any heavy object hurdled through the air like a baseball, rocks, etc. could ding your fence. Vinyl is durable but heavy objects thrown at high rates of speed can make a mark. Have your star little leaguer aim away from your fence.

If your pool fence is aluminum, there will be less maintenance than other types of fencing because it is resistant to corrosion from soil, water, and lawn chemicals. If you live in a coastal area it’s a good idea to wash your aluminum pool fencing regularly. Hosing them down once every few weeks will remove any salt build up that may over time corrode parts of your fence.
It is always a good idea to check your pool fencing often to make sure all gates and latches are in good working order and there are no other broken or loose parts.

We wanted to share with you a common question we hear from our customers.
Frank in Orlando asked this fence question;
“I have an existing chain link fence on my property, I’m thinking of having it replaced with PVC fencing. The old fence was installed about a foot in on my property line which I never understood, when I put my new fence up can I go right to the property line or is there any setbacks I need to watch for?”
To answer Frank’s question; it depends on the area you live in. Set back rules and zoning laws for installing a fence in Orlando can vary greatly with Oviedo or Lake Mary’s fence set back rules.
To avoid any added expense you should call your city and/or county of origin and ask for the rules for installing a fence before you get started. As always, make sure to use a licensed and insured fencing company to install your fence.
